GMAT PowerPrep (now a free download!)

The official software from the makers of the test is now available as a free download on the internet! We strongly recommend that you use this software to familiarize yourself with the interface of the test. It contains three complete tests, and is the only way to practice under testing conditions. Our tip: download it at www.gmac.com. Of course, it contains only the official cumbersome solutions and not our time-efficient tips and tricks, which are taught in our GMAT-Course !

The Official Guide to GMAT Review

The standard preparation guide by the makers of the test. If you plan to take the GMAT this is a must-read. We recommend this book to our course participants, so that they can familiarize themselves with the GMAT before the course. The questions themselves tend to be on the easier side, though; you will see the tough stuff in our course.

Note: The book is currently sold out. A new edition is due shortly. Please bookmark this page and check back in a couple of weeks.

GRE Big Book

No, this is not a mistake, we really do recommend this book for your GMAT preparation. The problem while preparing for the GMAT is that there are not enough original questions available. The practice tests in other books (those not published by ETS) do not include real questions, and the simulated questions can be of dubious quality. Even though only some question types from the GRE appear in the GMAT, those alone justify the purchase of this book. For test takers who do not visit our course this book is a must; participants have to decide if they need additional pratice besides our extensive material (most don't).

Kaplan GMAT CAT 2000-2001

The best book from the big review companies. As a supplement to our course it is useful; we strongly recommend it for the self-taught. Contains many tips and tricks, but certainly not all of the techniques that are taught in our course. By the way, Kaplan uses different material in their courses, and this is a much shortened edition of that material. This book can help you prepare to take our course or simply provide a brush-up afterwards if you are taking the test somewhat later.

Cracking the GMAT CAT

Another good book from Princeton Review. For the self-taught it is useful; however, our course particpants should not need it. This book is not quite as useful as the Kaplan book, but can still be helpful, especially if you are notaking a preparation course.

Super Reading Secrets

Despite the hyping title, this is a useful book, if you want to learn something about the fundamentals of speedreading to improve your Reading Comprehension results. Not really necessary, but it can be useful and at this price it is a steal. A book by the same auhor with nearly identical content is sold here in the US in nightly infomercials for $39!
